"Very open area for camping right by the lake. There is probably room for 4 or 5 different groups to camp comfortable distances away from each other"
"Not the most developed or nicest, but that does have its advantages of being not as busy. There are a couple cool little spots you can get down to the water. Not ideal for tiny kids but not the worst either. Good swimming location though as it is fairly shallow a ways out."
"Wonderful campground! This was a very clean campground with a beautiful view and just what I needed for the weekend. There is no running water, just an outhouse. However, the outhouse thankfully did have toilet paper in it when I visited on a Friday in mid July. There are lots of trees and shade to hang up hammocks, fire circles, and the campsite we chose was right next to the water. The only reason Iโm giving four stars is that the road was super bumpy to get to the campsite itself. However, there are some flat sites to pitch a tent."
"This is one of the better free campsites I've visited. There's a tiny pit toilet with no TP, and fire rings with some garbage, and a rocky waterfront area, but it's a beautiful lake for paddling or swimming. In my opinion a trashy fire pit is better than none. But folks, could we try to keep places like this a little cleaner? When there's no dumpster provided, we ought to follow "Leave no trace" guidelines."
"We went to one of the smaller southern campgrounds (the first along the southern road, almost hidden), and it was beautiful. Right next to the lake, plenty of space to set up a tent and park the car, and still have enough room for the fire. It wasn't too cold, but the wind off the lake made it hard to start a fire at times. Overall, a great and quiet weekend, even if there's a bit of an overload of private property out there."
