"This was our second time back to the spa at Whitefish. It was for our 1 year anniversary. The massages were great but everything that surrounded the massages was not. They didn’t have a lounge area so we were just crammed in the front entry area while we waited. They no longer have a steam room, we weren’t offered any drinks other than a glass of water at the end. It was a real disappointment since the last time we went they had champagne, we were able to relax use the steam room and really enjoy the facility. For the money I feel like we got robbed."

"We got a couples 90 minute hot stone massage to start out vacation, and it was fantastic. The spa is welcoming and relaxing from the moment you walk in; there was water and tea available in the waiting area, and they also offer a complimentary glass of champagne. Our therapists were excellent, very intuitive with pressure and knots. We finished with a nice cool glass of lemon water before going on our way."

"5 Star Pricing for One Star Customer Service - I had booked a 50 minute body wrap with add ons for $175 plus a mandatory 18% gratuity (5 Star Pricing). I requested a female professional and they put me with a male, the heated bed was not working, the oils / lotions that were applied were so cold that it made me jump even though they tried to manually warm them up in their hands before application, and they did not offer me the glass of complimentary champagne that came with my treatment. When I told the Spa Manager of my dissatisfaction with the service for the reasons noted, her response was "I'm really sorry to hear that." FULL STOP! We have been going to the Lodge for dinner and drinks since it opened and have alway had exceptional service. I did not expect this lack of customer service from any area in the Lodge. The Lodge has this rustic luxurious atmosphere and would have expected the services to match. I will not be recommending this Spa to any of my guests. To respond to the owners comments below, you are correct in that I was advised that if the 4 of us wanted treatments in the noon time slot that one of us would have to have a male therapist. What your staff did not share with you is that I advised that that would not work for us, however, we lived close enough to the Lodge that we were happy for two of us to book treatments with female therapists at noon and the other two could meet up with us an hour later for their services. That was when I was told that they could fit all of us in at 1:00 pm and so I booked it. Also, at Check In I NEVER told your staff that I would take the male therapist. If you think about it, it doesn't make sense that I would be agreeable at check in and 5 minutes later be surprised when a male therapist was calling my name. I think that you would have been better served to call me on the phone to resolve this rather than posting inaccuracies and blaming your customer without understanding the whole story."

"It's so hard writing this review because I come from a city so I think the expectation level between city and small town spas are different and I would have given more stars having factored that in except for the fact that the front desk staff was totally unaccommodating. When we first arrived The girl was not welcoming and didn't offer us a tour or show us where to change. When we asked where things were she showed us around unenthusiastically... From a more " upscale" spa you definitely expect the people at the front desk to be friendly and make you feel welcomed. The hot tub was beautiful and the complementary glass of champagne with tasty. They had a nice little tea bar and a pretty steam room. I started my facial on time and it was a very good service the esthetician left me feeling very relaxed and my skin was glowing... The downside.... They do not have bathrooms and or gendered locker rooms. It is a locker closet with a few lockers. Some of the people that were getting services weren't able to store their stuff anywhere and it's not kept clean by the staff You do get a robe but that's if the staff tells you... We had to ask about robe and slippers... If someone is changing in the locker room they have to lock the door because it's so small so no one else can get in or out until that person is done. There's nowhere to dry your hair and there's no amenities like other spas have deodorant razors and stuff like that. There is also only one shower which I left a picture of. It's a nice shower, but it has a fogged glass door that is in the middle of a hallway and several people pass by it while I was taking a shower and you can definitely see through it.... Awkward! Overall, it was pretty disappointing because it was still on the pricey side and yet lacked a lot of the amenities."

"Massage was great. Pricing is reasonable but the spa has limited amenities. The relaxation room is small and not much privacy to sit amongst your group to talk. Sauna wasn’t on and by the time it was ready for use my next service appointment was due. No private changing room and everything is coed. Shower is in the hallway, a little unnerving, and didn’t have full toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash). I saw the limited facilities ahead of time but was still holding out hope for a bit more. Plenty of room to expand on the lower level of the lodge. Complimentary champagne upon arrival and hot tea and water available in the relaxation room."
