"While it is understood navigating insurance can be complex and time consuming, it is the responsibility of the office staff to let patients know the status of a pending procedure or if any additional information is needed from either party. It should not take 9 months for a yes/no answer regarding a simple prior auth. I had to call my insurance several times to be advised that they had received no correspondence from the office, while Dr. Leonard's staff had requested I continue to call the office back week after week for an update. They do not respond to emails or voicemails if they are unavailable, or call back when they say they will, making any attempt at bridging the gap even more difficult. Dr. Leonard is kind and knowledgeable but his staff make trying to get treatment from him a nightmare. People come to you because they need medical help, they have other professions and rely on you to be proficient at yours."

"The assistant explained to me what she would be doing to numb my throat and explained the upcoming procedure. Dr Leonard was kind and interested in the explanation of my symptoms and the fact that the condition may be hereditary. He viewed my throat with a scope explaining as he went what he was seeing. When he finished he showed me a recording of what he had seen. Then I understood. I felt very comfortable when he explained the next step he thought we should take. I felt good about it and comfortable with his cautious decision. I had a good experience!"
