"I saw a couple of negative reviews and thought I might chime in. I have been going to Dr Checketts for a couple of years now. His prices are in line with what other AME's charge. It is also nice to have an examiner who is easy to schedule with and can usually get you in quickly. His Brigham City office is conveniently located, and clean. I have felt like whenever I have had a question he has been knowledgable and answered my questions without issue. I would have no problem recommending him to others."

"Dr. Checketts and CIO Medical are a danger to the community. The prices are astronomical, and the service is abysmal. I approached CIO Medical for help with a special FAA Medical Certificate process. Upon speaking to Dr. Checketts, I realized I had more knowledge of the process than him. He gave me instructions that would only delay the process and increase his profit margin. He clearly does not have the expertise he advertised, and I wouldn't trust him to come anywhere near my medical certification. CIO Medical required me to pay in advance for the service, and I can see why. If they had asked me to pay after the consultation, I would have refused. They provided me with no useful information or helpful guidance. They made it very clear that they just wanted my money and would not be providing competent guidance. Upon asking for a refund, they insisted that they had provided me the service I paid for and would not be refunding me. Thankfully, my credit card company was willing to help me out. In addition to providing terrible service, Dr. Checketts and his staff did not wear masks despite the State of Utah's mandate. He and his staff did not care about my health, nor did they care about following the law. They just did not care. Stay far, far away from the dingy office, dangerous practices, and poor service of CIO Medical."
