"I have not used H&R Block before and after this experience I absolutely will not consider it in the future. The appointment was set for 2pm and despite coming early, we still were not seen for forty minutes before we decided to leave. In that time, another person came, who said they had an appointment with a particular worker. That worker was not just unavailable, they were not even there. Not only can they not keep appointment times, they apparently cannot correctly schedule them in the first place. Additionally, there was a clearly untrained worker interrupting the man who was in his appointment with the only available worker Mary. Not only was this time consuming and unprofessional, but the lack of knowledge confidence in the answers Mary gave was alarming. Taxes are not a place for “I think so” and “That should be okay”. More specifically with her active appointment she was incorrect about the amount of the second stimulus payment, and despite him having stated he was still married told him she was filing his taxes as single. The straw the broke the camels back was when Mary had the active appointment recite his bank account information out loud three times. Any of the three of us waiting could have easily taken that information. This was by far the most unprofessional part, if not an blatant security risk. I am angry, and disappointed. But I can say thank you for one thing. This cemented for me that I am equally capable- if not more- of filing my taxes as anyone working at this H&R Block, and I’ll save $200."
