"When I saw Dr Mercado Down in Saint George the staff seemed a little slow but, but DR. Mercado seemed to be on his game. I have to write a bad review about the team as a whole. So, I went down and was seen, and expected some results. Here is where it went south. So, they sent me a link to their medical website had several issues getting this going. Not on my end since latter it just took one of their intake office staff two minutes to fix it. Anyway, so since I could not get that working, I asked (which later was confirmed by one of their staff) that I had asked Dr. Mercado to call me with the details. NEITHER happened. That request was supposed to be filled but by someone in between the intake staff and Dr. Mercado and someone dropped the ball. So, two months went by between office visits no word but figured if it had been something serious, they would let me know. Now that I know someone dropped the ball, I am not so sure. Anyway, I expressed all of this to one of their staff here in Cedar while she set me up for my appointment (vitals all that) and she is the one that pulled it up and right there in the computer was the request and she mentioned who was supposed to take care of it and that she would let supposedly the bosses know. So, I am sitting there, it's after lunch and I am the only one in the que. Now normally I give medical places the same time I would give a professor, and the same amount of time they normally require people to be early at least when you're not at a hospital and not at an emergency. It is Southern Utah Kidney and there was no one there again before me… so I sat there for 15 minutes, but since I still needed info from the last one, I waited in a small square room with no signs of him showing. I heard them bring someone else back about 20 minutes into the wait, feeling a bit boxed in and annoyed I peeked out. the intake staff said they would check. About 30 minutes in the staff said he's on a call with his boss in a tone that who knows when they would be done. So here I am with a staff that was horrible in the past, stuck in a room for who knows how long, I was done. I told the staff that was it and I was out. The next day I called and left a message saying if I was called back with an apology from Dr. Mercado’s boss I would consider staying in their care. Have not heard from them since. I am now waiting a new VA authorization to see someone else who knows how long this will take. Thanks, Southern Utah Kidney for completely leaving me hanging!"
