"Immature Service Man. We got a quote on the phone and he came out today. Then, after looking over the problem and then pulling his equipment downstairs, the price suddenly changed. Not a big deal, just jumping up from $125 to $420 before doing more than flushing the toilet. I get how service guys work. We turned him down and he went back into the bathroom to clean up. As I was leaving the house, I checked to make sure the water was off in case of flooding. The hose on the toilet appeared to be connected. When I turned the nozzle, the hose burst off, spraying me and the bathroom with water. That part was purposefully made to look connected. Before he even quoted the price, the guy wasn’t in the bathroom by himself and the landlord didn’t see him disconnect the hose. So after he pulled his stuff downstairs, he stopped in the hall, changed the price, then went back in the bathroom to exact his “revenge”. I’m even worried he flushed something down there to make the clog worse. That is no way to deal with customers, even if they do figure out your “sales” tactics. I’d rather have clogged drains for days than deal with immature “professionals.” Scamming is one thing. Sabotage is on a whole other level."
