"Wife and I did a date night on the wheels throwing pots. It was just us two and a blast. Fun atmosphere and the owner was a great host. I think some of the reviews want the place to be run like In-N-Out burgers... but it's a pottery shop. I thought it was all well done. We look forward to going back to paint our pots."
"I was very disappointed in my experience today. I brought my daughter and we were excited to do a mom and daughter painting day. When we got there, there were hardly any pieces to choose from, except for whatever was obviously left over from other people. Several of the pieces that were left had clear signs of damaged pockmarked plates, etc. We pick some pieces out anyways I was told that the price was on the bottom. He didn’t tell us where to get the paint we had to go back and ask. After painting went to go pay and it was obvious that he had overcharge me. So I went back and I looked at the pieces that we had chosen him. He had marked everyone up and then also charged us a studio fee. When I mentioned that he had charged us too much he just walked off. This entire experience was awful no selection, no communication and then they don’t charge you the prices on the plates. They actually charge you more and then the studio fee that they didn’t tell us about. It’s sort of ruined this whole mom and daughter day for me and my daughter. We thought we were going to go there and paint something cute and looking at these reviews well be lucky to be able to get our pieces not damaged or in a reasonable time. I wish we would’ve check the reviews before coming."
"The very 1st time we came here, it was okay. The studio fee is ridiculous. That wasn't communicated at any point from the non present employee, nor was it posted anywhere. I found out when my bill was about $45 more than expected based on the ceramic price. That visit the studio called when the pieces were ready, and I went and picked them up. The 2nd time we went, I knew what to expect. It was for a special occasion, and I was willing to pay for the experience. This time, I didn't get a call and had to check to see if my pieces were ready about a month later. No issues other than lack of communication. The 3rd time (another special request occasion) once again we didn't get a call, and one month later, I went in to see if they were ready to pick them up. The employee was very friendly (different than the other 2 times). I asked her if they didn't call anymore, and she said, "The employees don't like to call." Um, okay. It was taking a long time to find my items, and I offered to go in the back and help her. There were tons of not picked up packages (in the closet in the front, on the shelves in the back, and in the back room) and not packaged pieces (in the back room). One of my pieces had a big chip in it. While in the back, the employee said, "Oh, something must have got stuck to it. I can give you a refund for that one." I gladly accepted. I went to get my card, and when I came back in, she came up to the counter and stated she would be refunding the studio fee only. I said "Oh I thought you were refunding the piece." She said, "No, just the studio fee since you're taking the piece home." Well, that's not what she said butI wasnt in the mood to argue, nor was I willing to leave it behind. It was for a 7 year old birthday party, and they are all neighborhood friends and hang out often, so not taking it to one of them wasn't an option. I just accepted it for what it was. It was not a great experience. I think this place would be frequented more by us if it wasn't so expensive (maybe suggest a multiple piece studio fee instead of per piece) for a small ceramic, customer service improved, and expectations were communicated accurately. It's a fun activity and the closest option to us. Hopefully, improvements are made."
"We took our kids for a date night here, I walked in and explained we had never done it before and had to ask for guidance. She told us to pick something off the shelf and then come up front to pay. We waited up front for 25 minutes before she finally came back out and told us we could start. Then I said okay? What do we do? And she told us to go pick our paint colors. And then left again. Kind of disappointed. She didn’t tell us how long it would be, what our price was before taking the card, or anything. It was an awful experience for something we were really excited to do with our kids and we will not be returning."
"We tried this place out for the first time last night. 6 of us for date night, what a fun environment. Maikeli was a super cool & patient instructor. We are a bunch of rookies but they were great to work with. Going to take our teenagers back to try it next time! Definitely recommend this place to others!"
