"I worked for this company for 6 years and after I left, I can honestly say that I feel like a weight has been lifted. My former boss, for some reason, treated like a personal servant at one point. He had me move his car while he was on away trips. In another instance, I sat by a co-worker for months who would yell and slammed things on her desk that would set off my PTSD and I requested to move desk and my former boss took no action until I almost quit. Lastly, he mentioned to me that I should engage a relationship with a co-worker he didn’t care for outside of office hours to “clean out the bats in her cave” (those were his words). Even after all that treatment after years, I stayed strong and tried to have a career there. I was often placated when I made efforts to do more and expand on my role. Once I realize that I was only going to be treated like this and never advance in the company, I resigned in order to move on to better things."
