"I just got a letter from a debt collector for services that I paid for from this place because they billed the wrong insurance for over a year and then tried to back-date all my visits, which of course my actual insurance rejected. All the while taking payments and copays from me. Sound illegal? It probably is, but I don’t know what to do about it. This is a place which I very much appreciated the help they gave me through a difficult time in my life that sadly is overrun by bad administration."
"The only reason I'm giving one star is because I can't give none. I'm trapped here because unfortunately, this is the only place that will accept my Medicaid. I had a missed therapy apt (which was out of my control, I was homeless living out of my car and my phone was turned off so I didn't get the text reminding me of my apt)and they are charging me $165 and I cannot get any of my heavy duty psych meds until it's paid in full. Can't even make an apt so that when I finally get this huge bill paid, I can even get in with the doctor or will she be 2 weeks out? Apparently the receptionist has "STRICT INSTRUCTIONS" to not schedule and apt or refill my meds. What am I supposed to do? I can't just abruptly stop meds like this and I can't go anywhere else. Won't work with me in any way shape of form and aren't pleasant about it either. Super condescending and blocking any way for me to speak with the doctor directly. Don't recommend this place, if you can change your insurance at all, I would look into it like I am now. If you do have to go here like I do, be very careful and good luck, they don't care about you at all, just the money. After I missed that therapy apt. they wouldn't let me make a new therapy apt for whatever reason. I had to keep calling about it to be told they were booked. Either way missing therapy should not cost $165 and second it should not make me abruptly go off my meds. I am going to be so sick and miss work it's awful and I'm scared LET ME JUST REITERATE THAT IF YOU NEED PSYCH MEDS TO FUNCTION ON A DAILY BASIS DO NOT COME HERE.read the reviews yourself to see the same theme."
"The lack of communication from this facility is frustrating. You'll never get a call back, you'll never get a confirmation if something was sent or received, and they conveniently forget to tell you that your insurance isn't covering you anymore when they charge your co-pay so you end up with a thousands of dollars of service fees."
"TERRIBLE experience, DO NOT become a patient here! My prescriber was Robin Jacobs. Here are a few of the awful things that happened to me with her: - When I express a desire to come off of my medication, Lithium Carbonate (after doing a great deal of EMDR therapy and feeling much better), she acted very pushy about me not doing so. It was not just her warning me about the consequences of not being on my medication - she did not respect my choice to do so and made that clear. - During an appointment, I indicated that I wanted to take a 450mg dose twice daily when coming back on my medication, since I had determined that it was necessary for me to take it. Robin asked me where I had gotten a 450mg dose, and I told her she had prescribed it when tapering off my medication! She denied doing so, and said she did not remember prescribing it. Apparently it isn't standard procedure for Robin to keep and/or access medical charts. - Just today, I needed to do some bloodwork to determine where my lithium level was at. Despite my request to have the bloodwork done at a clinic nearby and arranging for transportation to the clinic and back, Robin sent my bloodwork to her clinic. When I called her at my clinic and asked about it, Robin was rude to me, saying impatiently, "I'm in the middle of something and so we need to make it quick!" She also refused to send my bloodwork to the clinic while I was already there, saying that they don't sent bloodwork to other clinics. However, I had been with Robin for 2 years at this point, and she had ALWAYS sent my bloodwork to the clinic I traveled to! She also refused to send my bloodwork there, since I indicated that I would be choosing another provider. This was after experiencing lithium toxicity in the past week, which is a medical condition that can become quite dangerous if not treated and monitored properly. DO NOT become a patient at this clinic. You'll likely regret it."
"I came to PBS for several months while I was participating in a clinical trial for a new medication, and my experience was a very good one. All of the staff were very attentive and caring. I was closely monitored, and as soon as I started to show weird side effects, they immediately took me off the study out of concern for my health. It was unfortunate that the medication didn't end up working for me, but I am happy to recommend this place because the employees did a great job at trying to resolve my issues. I was able to take the information I gained at PBS back to my regular psychiatrist, who used it to find the right combination of medications for me; I have been stable for several years now, and my experience at PBS definitely contributed to that. Recently I saw a TV ad for the medication from the study, and it was very satisfying to know that through PBS, I contributed some of the data that helped the med get approved for other people with issues similar to mine. The work they do here is very important, and they're committed to doing it well."
