"Worked with Davies Allen for two years. 1st year wasn’t bad, but my last year experience has been horrible. 1. They overcharged for all my returns (2 trusts, 2 business and personal). I am now paying about 30% less than before with my new CPA who treats me like a valued client rather than an invoice. 2. My 2022 was given to me too late to postmark on Oct 16th even though I sent emails for several weeks, days and even hours before the deadline and I was assured they were “close to being done” every time. 3. When I did receive my return it was missing several deductions that would have cost me significantly if I wouldn’t have caught them. I was told “good catch” - not something you want your cpa saying. 4. Because of the late return I had a penalty assessed of over $6k. When I reached out to my CPA to see how they could assist or possibly compensate me, since it wasn’t my mistake. I never received a response. 5. I had them do an estimated tax calculation for 2023. I had to follow up twice to get it. Once I got it, it was missing 2 out of the 5 key deductions I shared with them. I asked them to correct and again sent it back missing one of the deductions. I received a bill two days later for $2,100. They don’t know how to have the personal touch, seem disorganized, are obviously not paying enough attention to detail in an industry that requires attention to detail and they are overcharging. Either their overhead is too high, or they are choosing to be a tax factory rather than a tax service. Look somewhere else. There are better CPAs that charge less."

"Giving this firm a 1 star is being generous! If I went into detail of what has happened with our personal taxes, no one would walk through the doors of Davies + Allen. From leaving out a MAJOR detail, potentially costing us $10k in tax returns, to zero communication with no accountability & error's in our EIN number, to call this office reckless, is an understatement. Our return was rejected & it's questionable if it's really been resubmitted. Hard to trust what is going on over there. They charge an arm & a leg to do your taxes & you trust that they'll get it right. After all, this is a CPA Firm, isn't that what they pride themselves in doing? We will take our business & personal taxes, (as well as our partners- they almost lost out on $7k in returns), somewhere else. Not only will we not be returning, we'll be running as fast as we can. Hopefully I'll get my return soon. If not, I'll update it here."

"We have used this firm for multiple years now. The first year they did amazing. The next year they lost our filing and did not file anything until nearly July. This year they nearly doubled the price to file our taxes and sent me someone else's tax documents Via Email. When I had asked why they are increasing my invoice by more than 40% they told me it is because our income was higher. (mind you much less complicated than previous years and mostly W2 work) Respectfully will not be returning next year."
