"Lost the diamond from my wedding ring last week and found it this week (miracle)!! We originally purchased my wedding ring from Shane Co. so we called them about resetting the diamond. They said they would at no charge. So we made the drive up there from Utah County. Only to find out that it is only covered under warranty if you've been coming in regularly for them to tighten/check the prongs ("tipping"). Which I had never even done. Maybe once in 13 years? Somehow it never sank in that I was supposed to be doing that. BUT because they had told us that it would be covered when we had spoken to them over the phone, they deemed it their fault (since they didn't ask me if I had been coming in regularly) and are going to reset the stone under warranty. Thank you!!! I really appreciate their customer service and going the extra mile with us today! I'm relieved that the original stone and ring can be reunited! By the way... if you've lost your ring or stone, your homeowners policy may cover it! Also, putting some nylon over the end of the vacuum hose is helpful to bring small items up from air vents and couch cushions! Just some tips I learned during this ordeal!
