"I have loved the charm and character of knot and spool for years!! Unique decor and amazing ribbon!!! Always inviting and warm!!! Unfortunately, my recent visit was quite the contrary! I came looking for unique ribbon for a client and pieces of ribbon to add to existing bundles. Per usual, I ran into a handful of old friends making my search twice as long as expected! Due to the handful of social interruptions It took two hours to find exactly what I needed! Way longer than I had time for!!! I am sad to say that It didn’t take long to feel the frustration and annoyance of my presence from a couple employees…in particular the manager! I left feeling unwelcome and questioning if I will ever return!!"
"Darling shop perfect for what I was looking for and needed. It was so fun to go in and browse all the tiny things. I went specifically for ribbon and found exactly what I needed and more! Great prices. Great staff."
"Unusual Comment from Staff During Purchase As a long-time customer of Knot + Spool, I am always drawn back by the quality products and the warmth of the staff. I write this review with surprise, addressing an experience that diverged from the exceptional service I've come to know. On my most recent visit, I was taken aback by an interaction with an employee. While expressing my intent to purchase a nativity set, the employee interjected with, "It's too expensive," a comment that was unsolicited and perplexing, as I had neither asked for the price nor shown any hesitation. The employee's attempt to elaborate on the cost felt less like assistance and more like a subtle deterrent from making the purchase. Moreover, when I requested the price, there was a pause as she searched for it, eventually confirming the cost to be as I expected. This incident gave me the uncomfortable impression that I might have been unfairly profiled. The unexpected caution regarding the expense led me to question if this was a standard practice or a personal assumption about my finances. Such a presumption seemed misplaced and not reflective of the professional service I've always encountered at Knot + Spool. I believe that while employees might be trained to gauge customer needs, it is imperative that this does not venture into the territory of making customers feel profiled or judged. I trust that this feedback will be taken constructively, ensuring that all customers are approached without bias and continue to enjoy the welcoming shopping environment Knot + Spool is known for. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to future visits."
"Shout out to the customer service at knot and spool. Their shop is so unique and thoughtful. If you ever need a gift or something special, this is the place to go. They have adorable displays of kid toys as well as beautiful decor. The ribbons don’t even get me started. It’s magical. But most important, the customer service is incredible. I am beyond grateful to how accommodating they were to me. There was a misunderstanding about a sale and instead of giving me a hard time or making me feel dumb, they took care of the issue and were so kind. 10/10"
"Very cute shop but the prices are outrageous. And as some customers have mentioned in reviews, I was not greeted or asked if I needed help and there were several workers in the store Their wreaths are cute though, if you can spend the money. A little stuffed bunny was $54 bucks...simple wooden Christmas trees were $59 to $100 to give you an idea of their prices."
