"Valerie (@janethestranger) is a phenomenally talented artist and super sweet person. I don’t know what else to say really because I think her work speaks for itself. I don’t know anybody who hasn’t fallen in love with her art the moment they saw it. Regarding the studio itself, the space is very clean and professional. Each artist has their own large work area that is closed off from the other artists to varying degrees. Valerie for example is essentially in a big office alone with windows to see out into the space. It’s one of the most private and relaxing spaces I’ve been to that had multiple artists working in it. The front lobby is also separated by walls and a reception area so a person popping their head in can’t see clients at all. They’ve done a really nice job."

"First off, I have to say it is absolutely beautiful inside of the Misery shop. It is unlike any other tattoo shops in the valley. No shop can come close to offering the embracing atmosphere that Misery has to offer. I came here for a tattoo and left with an amazing piece of art and a whole new perspective of the tattoo industry. My artist Roberto is the reason why. I went in feeling very nervous as one does while getting ready to get a tattoo but Roberto’s kindness and assurance got rid of that nervousness almost instantly. I went in wanting one of the many amazing flash drawings that he has worked extensively on and his art is absolutely amazing and so unique from the way the colors pop and every little abstract detail every piece has to offer I knew I just had to get a tattoo from him. And I was not disappointed with my experience at all I had an amazing time getting tattooed by Roberto and he did an amazing job on the tattoo as well. Absolutely zero imperfections I couldn’t ask for anything more!"

"Everything about the process of getting tattooed at Misery and Co. from start to finish exceeded my expectations. The lobby is spacious and welcoming. As soon as I walked in I was greeted immediately by multiple people who were ready to help me. After seeing samples of everyone's art, it's easy for me to say that every artist that works there is beyond talented. For the particular design I wanted, I chose Judd to do my tattoo. Communicating with him about design, placement, and size was really easy. He is attentive, professional, and kind. I always felt I could ask questions or change something about the design if I needed to. On the day of my appointment, Judd offered me a bottled water before we started, which was nice because I had forgotten my own. Each artist there has their own private room that is well lit and extremely clean. Judd's room was no exception. He played calming music to ease my already anxious nerves and explained everything he was doing throughout the process. Between the amazing customer service, incredibly talented artists, and gorgeous studio, I will definitely be returning."
