"Have purchased from the Utah Co-op for over 10 years. Mercedes & Raul have committed to providing the community with excellent items. All the produce they sell is organically grown and supports local and regional small farms. In addition, The non-profit Utah Co-op awards over a Million Dollars in direct and in-kind donations to organizations and individuals in the local area as well as to international needy causes."
"We love shopping at this great local co-op for organic groceries. They have a great variety of local organic produces to choice from. They almost always have community charity programs going throughout the year. It’s very comforting to know my money is spend at local business that support community projects."
"I don’t get a “coop feel” from this store, maybe I am missing something. I have traveled and worked in food co-ops. There are mixed general merchandise with close-out grocery items which appear to be bulk warehouse buys. Things don’t feel super organized in some areas and items are not priced clearly. Some interesting aspects of the store are large quantities available directly to the customer. There are some expired items that I would not but although I would have appreciated knowing more about the store. On a Sunday, there were two people there, hours for the store are limited to Saturday and Sunday. Seems very strange for a grocery store in a large metropolitan area. One can find many ethnic foods and specialty items, but the time investment to find things felt daunting for a first-time customer. There aren’t necessarily aisle labels / in-store directives. A makeover for the store is overdue. Regardless, the two people wotking were kind and amicable, but neither went out of their way to show us the store."
"Great selection, great prices (do not forget to look at the discount bins, usually $1-$2 an item, or ask what is on sale). The volunteers who work there are very nice and knowledgeable about the products. While being professional they still make you feel like a friend. I absolutely love this place."
"The produce her is unbelievably inexpensive. The staff here is beyond friendly, I was offered a free sample of sunblock for my baby and they even ground my coffee beans for me. The store is much larger than it seems. Take your time when browsing as I almost missed an entire section of the store. I had to minus a star because one of the bulk items I purchased was a bit stale, but it could be because I may have grabbed the display container (I am not sure). I will definitely be coming back."
