"2 years ago I went in to see her when I was 17 after I had a miscarriage. My mother wanted me to be put on birth control which is understandable. I feel like she told me the only birth control that would work for me is an IUD In the long run even though there were other options. I didn’t want one and made it very clear. My mom ended up convincing me and I felt VERY pressured by them to get one THAT day so I didn’t even have time to think it over. I ended up getting one and having a panic attack right before. Once I was calm and she started I was screaming in pain saying I wanted to stop her and her assistant ignored me and I ended up PASSING OUT losing all consciousness, my mom and the assistant had to keep me from falling off the table. Her medical assistants were amazing and so sweet after but it was honestly the most painful experience of my life (more than a second degree burn, breaking bones or having a miscarriage) and I now have diagnosed PTSD from the experience. I just wish I was listened to more and I was a kid so I didn’t really know what to do I was also NOT informed on how they do the procedure. I ended up having painful periods for the next 6 months going to the ER either every month or every other month. They told me their was nothing they could do but give me toradol which usually helped. I would take the toradol and hydroxozine to sleep through the pain. My periods were very irregular until I got it out as well. Once I was able to get it taken out by my new gynecologist the severe pain went away. If you’re not sure or weary about seeing her or trusting her with a proceedure (especially an invasive one) then I would NOT recommend."
