"I was a former employee at For Heaven's Sake, and I'd like to inform anyone reading this that Lauren Straka is racist. I am a minor, and I was the only black woman employed at the facility. When I started my job there, they started me at the federal minimum wage, $7.25. They explained to me that my pay rate was because of my age. I asked other girls working there what they got paid and everyone else who was not black made more than I did. I asked another girl who was also my age how much they started her off at. She informed me that she also started off at $7.25 an hour. Then, she told me after she completed her training they paid her $8 an hour. They told me after I finished my training, they would only be bumping my pay up to $7.50, which again, was less than everyone else. When my two week evaluation came in, I was graded 2-3 on a scale of 1-5 on everything. Another co-worker who started around the same time as me was given a perfect score. I took this as a sign I needed to improve so I did. Kids eventually started to tell me I was their favorite teacher. About a week after I was given my two week evaluation, I was written up for leaving to use the restroom while dealing with personal issues because the facility wasn't at ratio. I accepted the write up, and I signed it. Two days later, I had to use the restroom. When they had someone come outside to cover my bathroom break, they gave me a two minute limit in the bathroom. They did not ever do this to anyone else. A day later, I clocked into work on 03/06/2024, I was wearing a wig. Lauren made a comment about my wig, comparing me to a famous African American woman who I look nothing like. That same day, I was outside filling out an incident report. Most if not all teachers would sit down to fill these out. They told me over the radio on the talkies I was not allowed to sit down. When I responded, they told me I needed to get up right when I was done. Keep in mind, another teacher had been sitting down and was not filling out an incident report at that time. Other teachers sat down frequently. They did not react this way when they sat down. Later on that day, I was called into the office to speak with Lauren. I was written up for something that did not happen. They claimed that on 03/04/2024, Lauren had been watching me specifically on the cameras constantly since I started working there and she mentioned this multiple times. Lauren claimed in my write up that I had "been observed on the cameras not doing my job from x:00-x:00." Lauren made this up, I was taking out trash all by myself on 03/04/2024 during the listed time. There are cameras at the daycare that will show me doing the job she claimed that I did not complete. I also have eye witnesses that can back this statement. After wrongfully terminating me on 03/06/2024, Lauren then proceeded to get in my space because I wasn't leaving the facility fast enough. When she was doing this, I can be seen on surveillance trying to grab my things. She told me she would call the police on me if I didn't leave right then, even though I did not pose any threat to anyone on the site. I did not threaten physical harm to Lauren or any of her staff. Lauren and her staff proceeded to follow me outside and watch me as I walked off site. I later realized that I left my very expensive cup at the facility. I informed my mother, and she planned to go to the facility to pick it up on 03/07/2024. When I informed the director, Mackenzie of this, she told me that Lauren wanted me to text her to confirm the pickup of my property. I declined this because I'm a minor. Lauren then took it upon herself to text me. She told me that my cup had been retrieved, she then went on to tell me that my mother was only allowed on the premises at a specific time on a specific date. In this same text, she mentioned that my mother and I were not allowed on the premises for threats I made toward her. I did not threaten Lauren Straka. She told me that she informed local police about me. I did nothing to threaten her. Do not send your children here, ever."
