"I called this company listing on 4/28/2020 to seek repairs on my Whirlpool Cabrio dryer which was screeching loudly when the drum spun. They set me up for service the following day between 12:00-5:00 PM. The repairman called me about 1:00 to tell me he would be at my home in a couple of hours. At 5:30 he call to let me know he would be a little longer. at 7:30 PM he called to say he would be here about 9:00 PM. I decided to try to speed the process up and figured out how to disassemble the dryer myself (Youtube for the win) On arrival the first thing I noticed was that this repairman was no Ernie's Appliance Repair, his shirt and card were "Metro Appliance" The technician told me there were to go bad in the pulleys or rollers and that we just needed to lube the rollers and the idler pulley. He applied some WD-40 type spray, and replaced the belt, which he said he was "cutting me a deal on" and slapped it back together before taking my credit card info for the $100 charge. The biggest thing that I got out of it was a lesson in how it all went together, and if this was the end of this story I would give them at least 4 stars, if not 5, because the fact that they did not push me off to the next day forcing me to take a day off work.... Sadly that is not the case. Yesterday, 5/2/20 I started the dryer for only the second time and it starter roaring at me. Using my new found skills I quickly disassembled it and realized that the idler pulley that he said just needed a little lube was red hot. I was able to at least get it working without noise by applying heavy grease. There is a lot of play, so I ordered a set of rollers and an idler arm and pulley to fix it better. So, now I spent $120 and will have another couple hours of my own time tied up for what I probably could have done with 30 minutes and a youtube video. Oh well. lessons learned. Buyer Beware!"
