Reviews of The Grotto in Hornet Canyon Waterfall
"Great trail and even better places to set up camp for the night!!"
"Beautiful hike with a fair amount of climbing. I have done it during all four seasons and it never disappoints. Usually this trail is not very crowded which is a plus. There are parts that are narrow and steep but most of them have a rope tied to the trees to help."
"Great hike. A few spots are tough for the little ones, but keep an adult close and it's totally doable for them. But if you do have little ones, stay right at the fork about .3 miles away."
"When you get to the dirt road there is a dirt parking area to the right. Park there and take the gated entrance on the left side of the road. Follow the big path up, you'll see lots of little trails to the side, but dont go up any quite yet. You'll hit a fork in the big pathway, stay to the right. Follow the path past the little creek. You will find a pathway to your right and follow that! It goes somewhat along the creek and at parts it has steep drops with rope to hold on to. Fun hike with an amazing view at the top. Spring will have more water run off! Rated 4 because it's hard to get to. Make sure to bring bug spray!"
"Wonderful spot and well worth the hike. It is accessible from two directions and both have sections that are narrow and steep with some ropes to hang on to. Not for the novice hiker due to those elements. There is a sign along the Bonneville Shorline Trail labeled as Steed Creek. That is the starting point and it divides 2 directions about .3 miles later. Either direction will get you there. Neither one is "easy""
