"Nestled on the 6th floor of the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City, Mae Muntanya is a little slice of Heaven on your plate. I've me very neb a fan of Brussel sprouts, however; I could eat them from this restaurant every day. The service was amazing, the staff was friendly, the food was delicious and although the portion sizes aren't incredibly huge. ... it was just enough."
"Gotta love tapas style tastings! Everything was so fresh, flavorful and unique, absolutely filled with local inspiration. Would love to pick a favorite but LOVED everything- the oysters (topped with beef tartare??! Phenomenal.), ahi sashimi with pomegranate seeds, pistachio oil and blood orange (YUM!), such great veggie offerings including the cauliflower and do not miss the cabbage. Yes. CABBAGE. Oh and the shepherd's bread from an heirloom 150 year old sourdough starter with salted butter so good you can't stop eating?! AND take some home too?? Finish with any one of the desserts but the bread pudding was pretty mind blowing. The wine list was great and surprisingly not overly expensive. Also loved the vibe with rooftop views, firepits and modern cool factor. To top it all off the service was top notch! We very much enjoyed our special evening with Reagan- she was a genuine, entertaining delight. Run, don't walk! (And there is curling available on the rooftop! How fun is that?!)"
"This place was great. Went there for a little Galentine's brunch. The small places are delicious, and I wish I could have ordered all of them. The staff were extremely nice, accommodating, and fun! It was a very pleasurable experience that I can't wait to revisit."
"We got the Feeling Spritzy cocktain, Murphy Goode merlot, papas bravas, crispy brussel sprouts, and the elk tenderloin. The cocktail was great, nice and citrusy and not too sweet, partner enjoyed their wine. The papas bravad had a lovely soft texture and the creamy sauce on top was so good. The brussel sprouts were the better of the two starters, the bacon and pomegranate were just perfect. Now the elk, fantastic!! My partner had never tried elk before and I am glad their first experience with jt was so good. It was well seasoned, the main source of salt was that winderful iberico bacon - so good. The berry aspect went so well and the sage really added to it. Extremely well balanced and so delicious. We got their tartas de santiago(I think that was the name) ots a flourless lemin cake. For sure more on the tart than sweet side. My partner loved it, so if you are looking for a desert that isn't very sweet its a great way to end the meal. Our server Juan was great as well, took good taking care of us without hovering. We went at night and it was so a warm and cozy atmosphere- worked well for a romantic setting. Its up on the 6th floor so the nighttime view was lovely. It was quiet expensive, but well worth it. Shout out to Captian at the front as well, what a cool guy."
"We celebrated our anniversary dinner at Mar Muntanya and it was amazing! Our server was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about everything in the menu. We didn’t wait very long for our food and it was delicious! Highly recommend the shrimp with the sourdough bread that comes with the most amazing butter and jelly. Also the Elk Loin meet, so tender and delicious. Our favorite thing was the atmosphere and no rush eating experience. It was like we were in Northern Spain. The only small thing I didn’t like was the cheesecake, it is a burnt cheesecake, which is a very different texture from the original one, that for me personally, wasn’t enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant."
