"The host did a good job keeping the place clean and nice. The toilets were a lot better than standard open pit outhouse style in terms of stink factor, but far too small for an adult man to use for crapping; you had to choose between getting the seat dirty or touching your junk on the inside rim -- both equally terrible; I held it and went into town, so -1 star for that reason alone. The location was pretty nice, though right on the road and not secluded/dense trees. Fine for a few nights, especially if you have your own rig. Less great for a tent stay of more than a night or two. The Navajo Lake Loop Trail can be entered right at the back of the campground and you can hike the entire loop out and around the lake or just the Zion overlook rim in about 3 hours (which is what we did)."
"Beautiful campground, the host was so nice and friendly, we had such a great stay, pretty much had the campground to ourselves. We truly loved it!! Will be a campground we'll be staying at again, and again for sure!!!"
"Incredible campground situated on the edge of Navajo Lake. The facilities were clean and well kept. The host was friendly and very helpful. Navajo Lake was crystal clear. The wildflowers are everywhere l!"
"I loved this campsite. It was beautiful and well kept. The spots a are for tent camping on the upper level. Wish people would leave their screaming kids and barking dogs at home though. But still a relaxing weekend for us. It cost us 17.00 a night. Wish we stayed the week instead. This area has absolutely no cell service or internet service. No hookups. There are water taps around the for your containers. Not sure if you can use it for drinking. There is a small store up the road in Navajo lake. Boat launch is 10.00. Cute cabins there as well. Can’t wait to go again and will be getting my same spot as last time. Camp rangers were nice and helpful."
"We loved Spruces. Incredible views of Navajo Lake, easy access to fishing, paddleboarding, hiking and biking. Camp sites are clean and bathrooms are very well maintained. Kudos to camp manager Dan for creating a great experience. Good shade for tent camping and a natural windbreak from the westerly winds make this a great campsite. The camper sites are more exposed and have fewer trees, but the views are unbeatable."
