"Nice place to camp and cool off. Hiking trails, picnic/day use areas, camping sites, amphitheater and reservoir. Cool place to bring a hammock and chill on hot St. George summer days"
"The Pine Valley area is vast. You can get there by hiking in from the camp ground up two different trails. We went through Grass Valley to the North end and then up that trail with horses. We stayed a week and saw no other people but us around. A very memorable trip. There was no fee on this route, but we did have to buy certified weed free hay for the horses. Just driving through Pine Valley is really nice."
"Great hike along the Santa Clara river run walkway. The trail was paved and wound through soaring ponderosa pines with the river flowing through some small rapids. Good views of the snow capped mountains as well. Great weather and several people out trout fishing near the end of April. Temperature was in the 60's during the mid morning. Dog friendly (need to be leased) so don't forget your four legged companion. Several places to tent camp and RV' sites."
