"I've been coming here since before it was Town Dental and I have to say the new team has gone far and above my expectations every time I've since come in. I can't stress enough how my quality of life has genuinely been improved thanks to information and treatment I received from the new team that I never got from the old. The old hygienist never told me I had severe gingivitis (it had progressed along far enough that I definitely had seen him after developing it), but his only advice or comments had consistently been about buying an ultra-expensive toothpaste to help with staining on my teeth (I did not specifically struggle with staining or complain about it, that's just what he always brought up). The new team figured out the best treatment they could provide that my insurance would cover to help clean up as much of the existing damage as they could, talked me through how to better care for my gums and worked with me on how to do so even with some sensory difficulties I've always had that prevented me from taking better care of them in the past. I was able to actually make a change in my life and my habits with their help and encouragement because they took me seriously when I brought up those concerns instead of dismissing them with a "do it anyway" finger wag. I've worked with both Dr. Ruan and Dr. Taylor as dentists now and both are absolutely phenomenal. They both are patient, kind, and explain as much about what they see in my teeth as possible and what they're thinking. They offer honest, balanced opinions with pros and cons for treatments they recommend I consider, and they obviously both prioritize proper patient care over gaming what my insurance will cover or any other politics. The office atmosphere overall is also much more pleasant. Instead of always playing a controversial news channel on the TVs above the chair, they have soothing nature filmography-- much more pleasant to accompany an already uncomfortable procedure with someone's hands in your mouth! I also feel a more calm, open sense generally. I came to this office before because they accepted my insurance and are conveniently near my house. Now that Dr. Ruan and her team have come in, I come here because I trust that they are taking excellent care of my teeth and my health!"
