"This place not what you wud expect. When you think the unimaginable you would be right. And bad part about it that is with bout 3 different managers within two yrs they get all sorts of complaints. Close to 3yrs now and not one rule, they are to follow by tha guidelines, at least for me, have not been followed. And to ask for help, well keep asking! Has not worked for me in the least. Tryn to change for better, not allowed here. Just need to be smart there. Kids are doing way too much in plain sight, and there are cameras out here, but when you are known to those, what can you do? These days by telling, it gets innocent ppl put out. So guess here is not good if you want a friendly community. APTS ARE ADJOINABLE TO YOUR NEIGHBORS IN AREA'S! That cant be right! Is it? and stranger things are happenings! When this is all you can do for the moment, be safe. Maybe some day you will be heard. Have a great day."

"Ive lived here for almost 7 years the things ive dealt with is wild. When i first moved in it was great now its disappointing. The roaches are bad mice infested. Nothing gets done. Due to having one maitnece man. He very disrepectful . wrote a note saying i was treated nothing done. For 3 months ive had to turn my hot water on and off from the hot water yank. Water only stau hot for a few second because the water is continually running. My daughter light in her bathroom is led and now it flickers because its out. Maitence suggests pulling a lamp in. Thats been about to months nothing done. The maitnece man is very rude and disrespectful not just to woman but children too. .. U never can get anything done. Only thing we are lift to do is just deal with it. Its sad u pay rent keep to yrself but how they care for teanets are terrible. They don't check on things and up keeping . it was nice at first now its just down hill. Neighbors don't care about respect music loud but yet and still nothing done. I hope that things get done sooner u should ne happy abput were u live. With living conditions like this and the lack of staff i. Hope things change its not a enjoyable place to call home"

"They practice in wrongful termination! I advise strongly not to talk to anyone living here they will lie about you and get you terminated from your lease. They will share their bedbugs with u. It has become a widespread epidemic at these apartments and without washer dryer hookups it will continue . Horrible place to live . They flat out don't care about the tenants unless you're talking on someone when everyone decent is gone they will start turning on each other. Be careful."

"I lived at Windsong for 8 years, and believe me when I say that moving here is going to be one of your biggest regrets. Management had been troubling here and there, especially with compliance on maintenance, but when the most recent managers arrived, Windsong became a flaming downward spiral. The incompetence, along with poor character, is baffling. I received many notices on my door where management was entirely contradicting and the majority of them contained misspelled words and poor grammar. There were a lot of instances where I never received a notice, and they would still threaten me with a lease violation. When I would be asked to provide documentation for eligibility and would provide it to them, sometimes those documents would become misplaced (by the office personnel), but I would be given a notice of a lease violation for not cooperating with management. They don't technically give a 24 hour notice when they are coming either. They will place notices in the evening around 5 or 6 and come at 8 am in the morning. Management was also having tenants back date and sign legal documents, which is both unethical and illegal. The tenants now have told me that they are finding any reason they can to evict the remaining tenants who were originally there when new management arrived. Management has specifically targeted a mother with 3 small children and states that this tenant has allowed banned persons into their home. Absolutely none of the allegations are true, however, the tenant was given 15 days to leave the property. I'm not sure how legal this is, but they are definitely without empathy or ethics. Honestly, what is a single mother of 3 children with absolutely no income vacate that soon, and all based on false information? Windsong is taking advantage of lower income families. Asbestos was found in multiple units, but I'm sure that management had and remains to have no intentions of investigating to see if the tenants were affected by its presence. While the complex was under renovation, many unsafe equipment, supplies and tools were lying around the complex, and management would blame the parents of any children who would pick up or play with the items instead of taking responsibility for the property's safety environment. Of course they are going to be pleasant while new tenants are moving in, but their nightmare awaits for sure. Don't bother trying to contact the corporate office for any help in resolving issues with management because they are also absent of empathy and ethics. No one cared to listen about any issues I or fellow tenants were, and still are, having. My advice is to communicate with management through email, if possible. Having documentation of communication may be the only evidence that could provide help in matters. I still have almost every notice placed on my door in a folder, in which displays the incompetence and contradicting character of management. This review may seem over the top to many, but it is a tiny fraction of what all was taking place in my living experience."

"Stayed here for about 2 years. When I found this place I didn't fully understand what low income meant etc. I was just going down the list and this popped up. From the first visit I looked I had 2nd thoughts about it, the reviews didn't help. I applied and got a call back 2 months later but I already signed a lease else where. I applied again and received a call back in 2 weeks and finally was able to get there. In my 2 years there were great, if there were any problems maintenance would take care of it asap. My apt was very spacious, clean and better than my last apartments which I paid for way more. I had a few baby roaches here and there but nothing more than that. I never had any problems with anyone, they had a great community. Management was awesome, Amanda and Hannah were really understanding and will work with you. I would have stayed longer but my growing family needed a bigger place. The complex was clean most of the time, landscaping maintained. Windsong is convenient located by highway 169, neighbor Walmart a few Landry sites, dollar general and a bunch of places to eat. I've checked out other low income based places and I have to say this is the best one I've been to. They have security, one way driving and the place isn't filthy like other places. There has been trash here and there but some people don't know what a dumpster is. it can be a bit rough area but there's crime and danger in nicer areas as well. This place easily gets and deserves 5 stars."
