"Hope pretty much let's the tenants do their own thing, provided a few basic common sense rules are followed. Pool is well taken care of, and maintenance requests are promptly addressed. There is a laundry for us, two washer, two dryers, $1.50 per load. Only problems has been tenants every now and then forgetting to check on their stuff, but liveable. It is like a little Peyton Place here, everyone knows each other's business, and as anywhere, the gossip is always the very best quality, with plenty of versions, depending on who is whispering the juicy secrets. All in all, it is nice, comfy, both young and old, some kids, some family visiting. It's not just English Village Apartments, it is also HOME. SKI"

"I have lived here for 6 years. Most of the other tenants have been here greater than 10. It is an older complex and there are plumbing problems. Other than that it's a great place to live. Nice sized apartments. The manager is great. Anywhere you go there will be some problems. I understand some units have roaches but as for mine, I have only seen about 3 in the last 6 years. Edit: I take it back. My apartment is flooded with sewer and I cannot reach anyone to fix it. This is not good."

"The location is very poor and scary. My trucks window got busted and the radio was stolen out of it. I was outside enjoying the cool air one night with my husband when we saw a guy disappear around the corner and our landlord heading in the same direction with a gun in his hand. I had a girl friend come to visit and was stopped by a group of guys who wanted her to get out of her car so they could "talk". This place has HUGE roaches! I'm talking the size of your pinky (maybe bigger). I'm not joking!! I woke up feeling something big run across my hand and I jumped up, turned the light on and it was a HUGE roach! My husband couldn't just smash it, he had to literally beat it over and over with his shoe!! Our heat went out in the middle of and ice storm so we told the landlord. About a week passed without anything being done (our landlord gave us floor heaters and called it good) so we had to stay at my in-laws place to keep warm. We went back about 4 days later to find the heater still not fixed so we moved out immediately. We couldn't stay another day! DON'T move into this place!"
