"Two stars almost seems generous but I do have a standing home, at least for now. Another review about how filthy the home was at move in time is completely accurate. When a plumbing company raised real concerns, her solution was a small piece of wire to hold a loose pipe in place. She promised and promised to schedule our walk through and never did. A lot of the work was amateur at best. The few things she said she would fix or clean up she never did. The rest I gave up on. She is so condescending and rude if you have any questions. We picked out out fixtures and then when we left, she put them back and got cheaper versions. She lied about so many things about the house. They work on the good old boy system and everyone in the buying process from the realtors to the appraisers are her buddies and they cover for each other. For a mid $300s house, I should have gotten way better even in the current market. I thought working with a female home builder would be such a good experience, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Take your money elsewhere."

"We were originally excited to work with Cindy to build our dream home. From the start to some plumbing not set in the correct location, our vision not being produced to what we had spoken of, extreme lack of communication from Cindy and her making calls of things we should have been contacted for, having us do a walk through on our own, denying to fix certain things, to closing on a house that was a complete filth. Just because we couldn’t build a $300K+ home doesn’t mean we should get treated any less. We built what we could afford. It seemed like low quality subcontractors were hired and NOT held accountable to fix mistakes they had made. I would never recommend Harland custom homes for a “custom” build. Also be aware that the “cleaning” crew used for their houses straight up is GARBAGE!! pictures to follow on the day of our closing after a “deep” clean was done. Some of the issues shown in some pictures were corrected but my point of posting them is to show how they were trying to leave things which is absolutely unacceptable."
