"Seems like every year the charges for devices get higher and higher (for the exact same service). And yet every year the process takes longer and the staff gets less knowledgeable when asked specific questions. We scheduled the first appointment (11am) showed up 20 minutes early And was impressed that thhe employee was there already and let us in. She stopped her breakfast to serve us happily. She complained A LOT about her co worker who wasn’t ther talking about how she is never there and how she worked late the day before and had to many appointments to handle. Then the computer goes down after our hour of of getting things done. The system was down for another 45 minutes with no real attempt to fix it . She just kept saying how there was nothing we could do. Not even the person she was to call could help her (but she didn’t even call anyone). She suggested we either keep waiting or try again “whenever “ …after another 30 minutes of waiting my wife and I decided to leave after she told us she would call us immediately once the system was back up and running. We had tried signing the final papers like 10 times and couldn’t get it processed. So we left went to lunch ran a couple of errands and nothing. Once we got home I decided to call and check and the same lady answered the phone and said “yes of course it’s working” …I asked why she never called us to let us know because she wrote down our contact info and put it on her computer to call us asap. She just said “oh”. So we go back and wait another 45 minutes just for her to tell us it all went through and she just needed to give us the papers. After using Jackson Hewitt for many years I think it’s time for me to try alternatives moving forward."
