"Very nice staff, bacon grilled cheese tasted very nice, queso was tasty as well. Would recommend."
"I went today with friends who had been there before & really enjoyed the food. Sadly, that was not our experience today. We walked in just before 11:30 and we walked out at 1. We had, between us, 3 orders of Quiche Lorraine (nearly tasteless- but the crust was flaky,) 2 cups of Enchilada Soup (the best thing I was served,) 1 cup of Minestrone - called Tortellini Meatball (since my friend does not like Minestroni, not enjoyed,) 2 Club Sandwich halves, 1 Chicken Salad on Croissant, and a fruit cup. 3 waters. The sandwiches were a disaster. First, the kitchen could not serve the 2 halves because the sandwich was too tall to cut. So they brought us 1 whole sandwich, uncut, with 1 toothpick in it. My friend had to go to the kitchen to get a knife to cut it & we used our butter knives to hold the halves together. Part of why it was so tall was the hard, dry Texas toast it was made from. There was avocado smashed on 1 piece of toast & a teaspoon of mayo on a 2nd. The 3rd had nothing to moisten it. Tastewise, it was below average. Not enough meat to taste, for most bites. Plus, the dry, thick toast was hard to bite, as it wanted to shatter. The Chicken Salad Croissant was cooked, dry, white meat only. Not chicken salad. No mayo or anything on the bread. The 1st time we spoke to the server, she said that's what he ordered. He had ordered it without lettuce & tomato. The 2nd time, she said that's what their chicken salad looked like. The 3rd time, when he continued to say he would like the chicken salad he'd ordered, she brought him some lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a saucer. She never did seem to understand what the issue was, although she did try to remain polite. Next, the cook came & spoke to him about the confusion. She returned to the kitchen & made him a new sandwich - which at least had mayo mixed into the meat. Our order took well over an hour to come to the table. That would have been unacceptable had they needed to cook 3 plates. We had pre-made quiche & soup. 1 club sandwich (not cut) and a small Croissant with (pre-cooked) chicken 'salad.' $14.00 + tax each. 1 table, who came in after us, was served before us. The people behind me were questioning where their food was. A gentleman who came in after us told us he'd called his order in an hour before & was told it would be at least 45 minutes. There are a total of 5 or 6 tables. No pickup orders went out in the 1 1/2 hours I sat there. 1 person in the kitchen, 2 waitstaff. Very disappointing."
"Gourmet without the pretentions or price tags. 11/10!!!!"
