"We took our son here once a few years ago but this review is not going to be about that. Although I'd like to note, we weren't very impressed that time either. It's going to be about how we are now taking our son and daughter here. Our son is 13 and he needs braces. They said next year which is totally reasonable but they said he needs a root canal and won't seem to help us figure out who to do it. I realize that it's probably up to the regular dentist, but they aren't helping it at all either. Our daughter is 8 years old and they gave her some spacers ( a retainer ) . And had her regular dentist pull two of her baby teeth. That way the retainer could keep room in her mouth for her adult teeth to grow in, which is fine and it all seemed really reasonable. But they told me if she ever broke it just to bring it back up there with the mold and that they would redo it. Today, I was told it's going to be $200 and I'm nowhere near having $200 , by the time I'll have it ,at tax time, It won't fit her anymore and I just don't know what to do. I guess I just really wish that they would have told me it was going to cost. I would have started saving some money for it. Maybe $10 here and there. It's just really crazy to me. I feel lied to and I guess it's soonercare fault for not paying it or my fault for not having private insurance for my children. But I'm very frustrated with this place. They don't explain anything well at all and when you first get there the lady in the office treat you like some kind of strange person. She just made me very uncomfortable. I wish I caught her name. The orthodontist himself is friendly enough and I felt like he explained stuff, aside from cost, decently although my son said that he felt like he was making fun of him. So I guess I should take that into consideration too. This isn't about my feelings. It's about my children's feelings and their health more importantly!!!!"
