"Sellers and buyers BEWARE. Do NOT open title here. This title company is slow, uncommunicative, and rude. It takes them days to respond, answer questions, and be on the same page. I had to write multiple emails and call them over and over daily to have them update me… if I didn't, I wouldn't hear from them. They would waste days asking for one thing a day... they should have provided a list of everything they need. Just their ineffective communication prolonged this process by weeks. Also, they said their legal department needed to “review” documents even though THEY provided the document and all I needed to do was sign it! It takes one second to look at it! And I had to bother them hourly to finally schedule a closing (even though I had told them for weeks that we had a strict deadline and needed to close). They are also high maintenance and required way more than necessary at other title companies I’ve worked with. I also had to restate things multiple times, and they sent the closing statement the same day as signing, and it was wrong (even though I had told them the day before AND it had been stated in our contract since day one)! I had to write five emails and call twice to get them to change it, and they got mad that I was bothering them even though closing was set to be in literally three hours. Lastly, they said the wire was "returned" even though I sent my wiring instructions and confirmed it over the phone. They required my business address which is the first time I have ever heard of a "rejection" because of a business address. This process was been painfully slow and frustrating. I will not be closing with Stewart Title again."

"HORRIBLE. Just sold a house and the closing date got pushed back twice because they cannot get their stuff straight. Oh and the money that's supposed to be wired to me? Who knows, I have not received my money from selling and they do not answer their phones. AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME."
