Aqua Terra Steak + Sushi

"We loved our time at Aqua Terra for our anniversary. The atmosphere was private, contemporary, luxurious, and romantic with dim mood lighting. The staff were accommodating to our early check-in, and they were attentive, helpful, and respectful. The food was beautiful, deliberate, and fresh. Our favorite was the crispy rice salmon belly, with its texture and flavor; we wished that we had ordered more like this. The steak sandwich was as you might expect, but the fresh steak and delicious flavor really pleased. My filet mignon was very tender and was cooked to my liking. The garlic it comes with is intended to boost the filets flavor. Overall, I've enjoyed better filet mignon elsewhere and wish I had tried another dish. We ordered a side of asparagus with hollandaise, which was a tad undercooked, and I make better at home sautéed in butter. My drink order was the ginger hibiscus, which packed quite the punch! I loved it, but my wife doesn't like ginger. We received a complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which was a "Sweet Tree" of cinnamon bites and 4 dipping sauces. The bites were very fresh and delicious, and our favorite dip was the delicious raspberry. We thoroughly enjoyed our honeymoon dinner at Aqua Terra and would love to go back for another special night."

From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the attentive and delightful server, Jordan. Her exceptional service added a whole new dimension to our dining experience, as she was not only attentive but also brought a fun and pleasant vibe to our table, making us feel right at home. The appetizers were nothing short of spectacular, but the standout for me was the skinny salmon roll. Each bite was a burst of fresh and flavorful ingredients that left me craving for more. The attention to detail and quality in every dish truly sets Aqua Terra apart. To complement the exquisite food, we indulged in some of the most delightful and unique cocktails I've ever had. Each sip was a tantalizing blend of flavors that perfectly complemented the meal and added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. "We dropped in without a reservation and were seated at the bar with the bartender Lindsay. Super friendly staff all throughout, and Lindsay gave amazing recommendations for both food and drinks. Highly recommend the garlic edamame and the crispy rice starters. I could eat several plates of the salmon belly crispy rice with the mango salsa and be perfectly happy with that and a few drinks. We also got two different rolls of sushi, and both were very well balanced in flavor. The handful of cocktails we tried were beautifully crafted and delicious. Atmosphere was great. We had a wonderful time sitting at the bar, which is a little more set back from the main restaurant, just the way we like it. We were impressed enough that we're already planning our return trip. Thanks so much to Lindsay and the house staff for being so friendly and amazing!"

"Friendly staff & Great service . Love the atmosphere & the food! I was there for a birthday party and it was a lot of fun! They took care of us and the birthday gal was happy happy ! I love their Wild boar braised pappardelle dish & their sushi . Lots of selection of wine , spirits & cocktails and etc . Don’t forget to try their doughnut tree ."

"At first glance, this seemed like a classy, high end, well managed experience, that we would enjoy and come back to. We found it odd that we were able to find a reservation for just 10 minutes ahead of when we wanted to go on a Saturday night in the middle of city creek, but we gave it a shot. Upon arriving, we let them know we were there, and a very nice lady began to gather menus and walk us back to a table. At this point, a man that I can only assume was the manager, rushed over, asked her not to seat us yet, and then walked away. Only about 30-50% of the seats were taken, and this building is massive, so we found that odd. After standing for about 15 minutes, the kind lady just took us back and seated us. We ordered, and the apps came out quick, and were very good. The mains took approximately 45 minutes to come out which would be understandable for a busy restaurant on the weekend, but again, this place was pretty dead. The food was alright, nothing to write home about for nearly $200, and I definitely think they’d have more success if they plaid in their own league instead of trying to compete with the heavy hitters down the street like Flemings, Ruth’s, stoneground, ect… the waitress was every kind, honest, and let us know that the food and drinks are not her favorite, and that there were only a few things on the menu that she’d recommend. Needles to say, I’d recommend you find somewhere else in SLC at this price range."
