About the Business
CoilLaw, LLC is a law firm located at 10815 South 700 East, Sandy, Utah, United States. Specializing in family law, their dedicated attorneys are committed to meeting your legal needs and achieving the results you desire. They understand the complexities and emotions involved in divorce cases and are experienced in navigating through them.
One example of their successful representation involved a couple who divorced after a twenty-two year marriage. While they settled issues related to child custody and marital property, they could not agree on alimony terms. After a trial, the district court awarded alimony to the wife but reduced the amount and duration due to her extramarital affairs. The court considered her reasonable monthly expenses rather than her expenses during the marriage, and set the alimony for a shorter duration based on the wife's conduct contributing to the marital breakdown.
Despite the wife's appeal, the Utah Supreme Court affirmed the district court's decision, stating that no errors were made in the alimony determination. CoilLaw, LLC ensures that your legal rights are protected and aims for the most favorable outcome in your divorce case. Contact them at 2100 W Pleasant Grove Blvd, Suite 450, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062 for expert legal representation.

"It has been great working with Abigail Brown at CoilLaw. She was very dedicated, compassionate and hard working, always available to listen to my concerns and helped me navigate through a tough case. I can say with confidence that Abigail genuinely cared about me and gave my case her full effort and attention. I highly recommend working with her."
"Writing this review a couple years later because i still can’t get over how mad i am that this law firm screwed me. I wasted so much money in my divorce. I originally met with someone who i thought was going to be taking my case and turned out after she sold me, i never talked to her again and my case was given to Sterling who seemed like he had been an attorney for a year, tops! I didn’t sign up for that. He was a friendly person and im sure a great person but as an attorney not the dog i needed in my fight. Doesn’t seem to have an attorney personality at all. I would spend so much time filling out/ getting docs back to them immediately, only to be asked for them weeks later. Very disorganized. Time wasting, and all of those emails costing me money. I had to have my rough draft decrees rewritten so many times ( also costing me money) because he just wasn’t listening to what I would say and apply it. I had to pay way too close attention, and being completely naive and not knowing anything about law i got screwed in the end. Jill coil came in at the end and briefed on my case for who knows how long and then just seemed to try and get me out of there “ we shouldn’t go for that” or “ you should take what you can get” type of mentality. I feel like i was completely taken advantage of. What really pisses me off is my decree was written so poorly that I’ve lost even more money now because my ex husband can get away with so much since the decree wording sucks. If the whole experience was going to suck so bad, I would hope I could at least get a proper decree out of it! I don’t write big reviews because it just takes my energy and time and what's done is done but seeing Jill Coil “ expert attorney” on instagram is pissing me off because choosing her firm was the biggest mistake of my divorce. I found a new attorney since i had to go to mediation at one year of my decree being written and i could already tell the vast difference in the effort and professionalism i was given by coil law and my new attorney. Oh! The paralegal also sent a private email between me and sterling to someone who wasn’t supposed to read it and it completely ruined my relationship with this person ( spoiler it was my FATHER) so that was awesome. I think I got an “ I’m sorry, our mistake” type of email. Mistakes happen and people are human but they clearly did not recognize how detrimental and unprofessional this particular mistake they made was for me and my life. A HUGE deal. Based off my experience I would absolutely never recommend this firm for someone going through a divorce, at least a high conflict one."
"TR was absolutely amazing! He not only made me feel comfortable with what was a very uncomfortable situation, he was extremely professional, listened and acted on my direction, and even helped my counsel better understand the situation between myself and my spouse, which was somewhat unique, which led ultimately to a decision highly favorable for all involved. I could not have asked for more. TR has my highest endorsement!"
"I am so grateful I chose CoilLaw to help me through my divorce. Sterling was phenomenal at helping me jump through all of the hoops and making sure I felt comfortable with each choice on the divorce path. They are not pro divorce but they are definitely divorce pros. I would highly recommend him and the team that helped me to anyone needing help through the most challenging time of life."
"I had the chance to speak with Andrew, and I can't express how grateful I am for his guidance during my divorce. His expertise and compassion shone through as he provided me with invaluable advice and support. He's an attorney who you can tell genuinely cares about his clients' well-being and one that I will definitely recommend to anyone going through a similar situation."
