Walgreens Pharmacy 5540 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, UT 84117

"Went to this Murray Walgreens pharmacy a couple weeks ago. I have never been so frustrated as a result of rude, condescending, and impatient service. The older woman who “helped” me ended up charging me $180 dollars more than it should have costed because she was unwilling to call a manufacturer number to verify a manufacturer discount code. Sorry I’m poor and have to scrimp to afford meds but don’t treat me like garbage. Btw the maceys just up the street filled the prescription and used the code no problemo."

"If it was an option I would give them a negative 6 stars!! We’ve been going to this pharmacy for many years, but since becoming a Walgreens the service has continued to get worse and worse. Today I went in to pick up 3 prescriptions. I was told it would take 20 minutes. After over 30 minutes I was told that the other person didn’t put my prescriptions in the right basket. Evidently I was put on the bottom of the stack because it took over 20 minutes after that. I had a similar experience about six months ago where it took well over a hour. Too many of these experiences. Worst pharmacy I’ve ever dealt with. I will never go there again!!"

"I have used this Walgreen's pharmacy for several years. They have always had pleasant and friendly staff, until recently. They have a newer member of their staff who isn't friendly to say the least. One day, I finally spoke up, and told her she wasn't a kind person. Since that day, every time I go in, she literally walks off, and I have to wait for somebody else to assist me. I have never had an issue with any other associates except for her."

"With the company not responding to these reviews it's fairly obvious they know they're a terrible pharmacy but here's another complaint. I had my MD call in an Rx like 3 weeks ago. I spoke with the pharmacy in person last week they said they had to order it and it would be here Tuesday and they'd call me. I never got a call and when I would call them & they never answered even after like 30+ minutes. So I go in person again and surprise they didn't order it and tried to give me something else. Then the pharmacist loudly said super embarrassing stuff for everyone to hear. I wish this was the first time I had a problem with them but it's just the most recent. I feel bad for the techs here cause they're just taking orders from someone who doesn't know how to run a pharmacy. If they're so short staffed they can't run it then it's time to shut it down, sadly."

"For the Pharmacy: I take a controlled substance, and Walgreens has a ton of restrictions that makes refilling it difficult. You can't do it over the app, or use the automated system over the phone. You have to call in and talk to a pharmacist directly or go in person.(the app and phone service make it seem like you can fill it, but you will receive an error saying you have to call in). So anyway, the reason I making the review is this is the second time I've been on hold for the pharmacy for HOURS. I'm not even kidding, it's been over 3 now. I've gotten someone from the pharmacy on the line twice and they've hung up each time. The home music is irritating, and the automated voice talks to you every 30 seconds telling you to "hold hold on, we will be with you shortly". It isn't a calm long hold experience, quite infuriating actually. My doctor's office hates Walgreens for their insane restrictions (uncommon compared to other pharmacies), but I haven't switched over yet since I've used Walgreens for over a decade at this point. However, at this point I'm more than done. HEAVILY recommend not wasting your time unless you know what you're getting into. Also other restrictions include: Not being able to fill your controlled prescription on the day you run out, it has to be the day after (meaning you have to put up with this BS. If you want to switch WALGREENS pharmacies you have to have a new script OR a fax sent from your doctor."
