"This group has been an awesome experience to be a part of. I can't think of a better experience for adults and kids. It's a great mix of conditioning, dance/fighting, and a rich culture (singing and instruments too). It really has every. The instructors are so committed to their students. It's a huge joy in my life to go to class! I go personally and hope to bring my kids someday. "My 6 year old son started training Capoeira with Utah Abada Capoeira , a little over a month ago . He loves coming to class and I have seen great progress in his skill level already . The instructors Kelmy and Sam are very skilled and make the class very fun. They incorporate the traditional music of capoeira complete with instruments! The students get to learn songs and play instruments along with learning the fantastic movements of Capoeira. You can tell that the instructors have a lot of passion for this beautiful art . They really take the time to ensure that each student receives the attention they need. My son is one of the younger kids in class, and they will often pull him to the side to really break down the moves for him . I absolutely recommend this place! Bring your kids ! They even have adult classes too!"

"My son and daughter both loved Capoeira (this Brazilian Martial Arts class at the AF rec center) as part of the first group of students when it started at this location. Kelmy is a great instructor and gets great help from Sam and others including other teachers nationally and internationally in making the class a good experience for everyone. In addition to activities in the class at the rec center, they also put on other activities at local parks or other community events which are great experiences for those who want to get more involved. Overall having observed the class and participated myself at times I can say that the benefit over other martial arts classes is that in addition to the typical things students learn about self-discipline, self-defense, and physical fitness they will also learn Portuguese, music and many other things about the amazing Brazilian culture. Would highly recommend this class!"
