"I could not be more impressed with Performance Academy! This is our second year and the owner, Laura, is very organized and goes the extra mile to make the classes very special. She defines professionalism. They sing and dance here, and the vocal training, recording and recitals are absolutely top notch! Mary Bentley has been my daughter’s teacher the last two years and she is so darling!"
"Run the other way!! My daughter was mistreated, and I wish I'd never subjected her to such an awful experience. Laura humiliated her in front of class on the first day for thinking a handout was hers to keep, then measured and charged me for her costume. On the FIRST day. My daughter had so looked forward to the class, so I told her things might improve and encouraged her to keep going. She agreed and I paid for the costume. Laura also said she could order shoes and tights for my daughter because she worked very closely with a dance wear company. I asked her if they could be returned if they didn't work and she said yes. Well, she lied. My daughter went to class one week with a hurt ankle and when she told Laura she couldn't do a dance move, the teacher told her she had to, so my daughter, not wanting to disobey a teacher, jumped onto her foot with the injured ankle and injured it even more. Laura is not kind to her students and more than that, she mistreats them. DON'T SEND YOUR PRECIOUS DAUGHTER OR SON TO HER. DON'T SUPPORT PERFORMANCE ACADEMY."
