"My son is in kindergarten at Jefferson, and we were hesitant at putting him in a charter school at first. But from the first tour to back to school night to my son being 3 months in, we are blown away by Jefferson! Our son has learned so much in his advanced class—it keeps him so engaged, and he is doing some first grade level material while having so much fun! His teacher is absolutely amazing. I love that the school teaches good habits, has weekly specials: Spanish, PE, art and music, does leveled math and reading, and utilizes positive reinforcement. I feel like my son is receiving a rich, well-rounded education here! My son can’t wait to go to school every day, and I am not exaggerating! We are so grateful we found Jefferson Academy!"

"Jefferson Academy has a bullying problem that is not handled at all! They turn their backs on these students that are being hurt and belittled by other students. School is supposed to be a safe environment for our children and the adults at Jefferson have a responsibility to make sure EVERY child that steps through their doors feel safe. When a child reports that they are having issues with another student physically and verbally bullying them, something needs to be done immediately. A child should not come home crying on a daily basis because no one is there to protect them! The principal is slow to respond to calls or emails IF she even responds."

"I have loved this school and have been very grateful to the many teachers and aides that have worked to make this a wonderful experience for my boys. They worked with my oldest by giving him structure and immediate feedback on his behavior. He chose to follow the rules and his learning improved each year. My youngest has also been doing great since he started. He was behind (my late August boy) and they pooled their resources to help him. I have seen how much these teachers love their students and I am grateful for their sacrifices on behalf of my kids. It is sometimes a thankless job."

"Jefferson Academy is a great school. It’s organized, cared for, and a happy place to be. The grade level teachers care so much about the students success in the classroom and are willing to do anything to help them reach their full potential. I love that each student is tested at the beginning of the year and then placed in a leveled class for reading and math. It makes me know the children are getting extra practice in the subject if they need it and if they are ahead, are receiving above grade level education. Jefferson has a full library, a fun P.E. program, successful music programs, and learn new techniques in art each week. The director at Jefferson Academy wants the staff and students to succeed and does everything she can to make Jefferson a great environment."

"I LOVE Jefferson Academy! I work here but am also a parent. I truly feel that each child is valued and cared about! I see how hard the teachers work to help each of their students be successful in both academics as well as character education. I have work as a few different schools over the years and Jefferson Academy has the most wonderful sense of community, collaboration and positivity. I am so thankful that my son is able to go to school here. I know that through all the amazing things they have in place he will get the best education possible!"
