"So I bought a hat from this gentleman. However I bought it on October 3rd 2022. I just got it a few days ago. When I originally bought the hat it said about 5-8 months. I kinda understood since it’s custom and I’m sure he had a lot of orders. Didn’t think much, around the end of that I had the ability to call him on his website. Shortly after his website updated and I could no longer call him, only email. Then the waiting process said 8-12 months. Started kinda worrying. But figured cool Christmas present. Not to mention during that update I have emailed him repeatedly, some saying I need a refund because I didn’t want to wait anymore and could have used the money for other things. Updated his website again and in red no refunds etc. So then emailed again, and again. No reply back. Kinda forgot about it after a year and 3 months. Emailed him one last time. And he surprisingly got back to me. Said he just got the body of the hat in and if I don’t get an email in a week or two contact him. Super excited. Two weeks go by, I email. Nothing, email again a week later, nothing. Once again another month past after he finally got back to me a year and 4 months later. I drove down to his shop, since I live in Boise and he wasn’t that far. Met him personally, had no clue who I was. Basically had to make the order I made a year prior alllll over again. And he did it in a day and I picked it up. Kinda livid. I paid damn near $500 for my hat, don’t get me wrong I do love my hat. It’s a Bohannon replica since I love the show hell on wheels. But I don’t believe the band that’s on it is what I ordered before. The body of the hats are literally the body of it. Half the work is already done for him, it didn’t feel like I got a $500 custom hat. At least from what I saw, I watched him look through his material because he had to double check if he had charcoal which was the color I chose and got lucky enough for him to have one, after telling me he had everything. after picking it up I was hoping for my shipping refund, didn’t get that either. Because of how much I paid, and waited. I assumed it would come in a nice hat case, assuming made me an A*hole because it came in a cardboard box. So after everything, showing up to the shop got my hat done in less than 24 hours. So if you want to spend a major chunk of money on what I would say is a decent hat while going through a pregnancy with your wife and having the extra time to make sure it’s your kid and however it turns out you have a hat to enjoy in the end of the whole process, then this is your guy. The hat is a nice hat. But for what it is and how the service was during and after a year and four months. I wouldn’t buy a hat from here again personally."

It was 100% beaver custom order and all the hat suppliers around were having trouble getting high end hats, not just him. The second hat we just picked up last week was in stock. Nice hats for a reasonable price!"

"Phenomenal hats and quality. I’ve ordered two from Craig and love them both. My parents both have hats. I see others taking about the time it took to get their hat, but in my experience he was very up front about long lead times due to supply chain, demand etc. You’re simply not going to get a better hat at a better price. It’s 100% worth the wait."
