"Now that my daughter is an adult she looked back and told me how condescending Rankin was, and how she received exactly NO help from this counselor after 3 years of visits. At the time she worked in another clinic. It’s been 4 or 5 years now and I hope Ms. Rankin has implemented a more humanistic approach to therapy. She would treat me, a mentally-disabled veteran, with a patronizing disdain although I could not figure out why. She would take the things my daughter and I would say and twist them to fit her narrative. I’m just amazed at all the time and money wasted in her office. Do not be surprised if she threatens to call protective services based on a bad hunch. It would be nice if a warning flag was pasted on the office door so mistakes like this would not be made in the first place."
