"Re-learning how to play the violin as an adult has been life-changing. Kate has enabled me to open up parts of my brain that have been dormant for many years. I started practicing, playing, and learning from Kate every week since June 2023. I played the violin from age six until 9th-grade orchestra and then quit. I was never that good, but I enjoyed how the music made me feel. Going back to playing 25+ years later has been one of my best decisions ever. I've had to re-learn how to read music, practice violin techniques, and start over with Suzuki book 1. Here is what I've noticed: my brain is becoming sharper, I can articulate thoughts with clarity, and I can express emotions from my heart that have needed to be released. I removed unnecessary noise from my life, such as doom scrolling and unfurling entertainment. Simply eliminating these distractions has created plenty of time to practice. I have the desire to practice every day because of the benefits. Kate is an excellent teacher for students at all levels. I feel super lucky to have found her."
