Historic Scott School

Historic Scott School, located at 3280 South 540 East in South Salt Lake, Utah, is a proud landmark in the community. As the oldest continuously operating school in the state of Utah, this charming campus has a rich history dating back to its founding as Granite High School. Over the years, it has evolved to become a hub for education, arts, and community services.

In addition to offering high school classes, Historic Scott School is home to a Promise SSL center and a community center for the arts. The Pioneer Craft House organization has been providing community classes on the campus since 1947, adding to the vibrant and diverse offerings available to the public.

In 2009, the city of South Salt Lake acquired the property from the Granite School District with the support of Salt Lake County ZAP funds. Since then, the institution has expanded its community education and services, becoming a valuable resource for residents of all ages.
