"This beautiful building served as a school for many Payson citizen. The school fell into ruin for a period. Two reasons, one the school could not meet the earthquake code, and second a new school was built. Condemnation was then decided but a number of civic minded people managed to start a restitution project and saved this historical building. Today the building serves as a musiem dedicated to the history of Payson and is a landmark for all to enjoy"
"I went through with the guide and really enjoyed it. I'm biased since there's a lot of my family history but I think most people interested in the history of the American West would find it interesting."
