"Would not recommend! Dr. Bohl- Witchey didn’t make me feel comfortable enough to ask questions at my appointments being a first time mom. If I ever did she would make me feel like I didn’t know what I was talking about. At 38 weeks I experienced some bleeding so I called because I was concerned whether it was normal or not. She called me back and made me feel so dumb. She pretty much told me “don’t worry about bleeding, worry once you start getting contractions” . When I gave birth she pretty much delivered my baby, sewed me back up and left. Not even a congratulations or asking if I was okay or how I was feeling. Will never go back to this doctor again!!"
"She’s the best Dr.!!! Her experience is exactly what you would want in the field. If for some reason people had to wait on their apt, it’s simply because she is delivering babies non stop. She’s always there for those mamas first, which is what any pregnant mom would want. I trust her with anything! Her nurse Stephanie is the best too. The hospital will lose lots of patients without her. Tons of women are upset she won’t be there anymore. Big loss for Owasso St. John!! Something is completely wrong with upper management at St. John Owasso!!! We’ve noticed the poor decision & movement of doctors going on there! Seeing Dr. BW affected affects more women and families than your upper management cares to understand. Very sad & disappointing, St. John Owasso!!! Do better for the community!!"
"Absolutely do not recommend putting your care into this facility and Dr Bohl-Whitchey's hands. In my experience I was given instructions on when to go to the ER. Which I followed. What I wasn't told is that if the closest ER is not associated with their facility, they'll refuse to do any follow up care since "their systems aren't connected" and tell you to return to that facility. Of course my experience all happened before I could make it to my first 12 week appt so I can't say how they'll treat women who make it past that, but I can confirm that they were very aware that this was my first time experiencing anything like this and I had no idea what to do and all they could tell me was to go back to the same ER. It felt like I was being told since I wasn't pregnant any longer and my emergency care was started at an outside facility, I was no longer their problem."
"I had a Terrible experience and it was very upsetting because I had heard such great things about this Doctor and being pregnant with my first child, I was excited and looking forward to being in good hands. My first visit: 10 week checkup and it went great. The appt. was on time, she took her time with us and answered any questions we had. My second visit: 14 week checkup. We waited 45 minutes after my appt. time before being called back by her Nurse, Stephanie. We were directed to the exam room and Dr. Bohl-Witchey came in another 20 minutes later! When she came in, there was no apology that we had been there OVER AN HOUR past our original appt. time... She jumped right into talking about doing genetic testing. She quickly did an ultrasound, ordered the genetic testing and told us to go down to the RML lab. Before going to the RML lab I wanted to talk to the Dr. about some things that I had been feeling. I was in a lot of pain on one side and honestly wasn't sure why I was hurting so much. When I asked her she said "Well.... you're going to hurt... there is a baby in there." and was also told "The booklet I gave you at your first appointment has a lot of information in that." I thought okay really? You have a patient who is pregnant for THE FIRST TIME and that's what you say? We decided to give it one more shot with her before making the decision to stay or switch. My third visit: Waited 45 minutes past appt. time, was called back into an exam room where we waited another 30 minutes before she came in. I was 18 weeks pregnant and was told during my second visit at 14 weeks that we would be able to find out the gender IF we wanted at this 18 week appt. She came into the exam room, no apology for her being late and the first thing she said to us was "I won't be able to see the gender of the baby by an ultrasound at 18 weeks." and that "She wouldn't be able to tell the gender until I did the anatomy scan around 20 weeks OR did the genetic testing." I informed her that I DID do the genetic testing at my 14 week appointment in which she replied "Oh, you did?" Had you checked my chart BEFORE you walked into the room (over an hour later) you would have known that. I also received comments during this appointment that were "Welcome to pregnancy, where you don't get your way" I was just done right then and there. Her beside manner is rude, unorganized and chaotic and I was not going to put up with that during labor and delivery. I ended up switching doctors at 20 weeks and it was the best decision. Im sure most of you have had great experiences with her, but unfortunately I did not."
"I specifically chose Dr. Bohl-Witchey after having 2 of my friends (one a nurse) tell me how great she was. She did not disappoint. The staff are friendly and her nurse gets you right in and is friendly and can answer any questions. Dr. Bohl-Witchey took my cultural considerations into account while handling me and my pregnancy. Two times my appointment was delayed because she was delivering babies. This just let me know that if my baby came sooner than expected she would be there. She handled my c section with expert hands and delivered my healthy baby girl. She was there to check on me before my C-section and calm my nerves and was there every day after my birth until I was discharged. Love, love, love her! I will be going back for my next pregnancy."
