Reviews
"The customer service here was amazing! Very upbeat! I didn’t get the lady name but she was very friendly and approachable and inviting! I tried other African markets but I’m going to stick with my lady there at Makola! I purchased black soap and hair oil which was an up sale but I’m ok with that. I love to support small businesses especially Black owned businesses."
"As a Liberian living in OKC, this is the only shop that has all my West African food. They are friendly and very service oriented."
"They keep seeking expired or almost expired goods. This has been a repeated issue with this store. Check every item you buy. Since I didn't know the product was expired until I opened it and noticed the product was weird, I came back to the store the next day, they neither refunded it, took the item or apologized, even though IT WAS EXPIRED. The guy at the counter simply said my mom won't allow me take back the item, or something to that effect. It's ridiculous. A good amount of their product on display is expired or almost expired. Go to the Asian store or another African store like Mama Zee. Again, this has been a repeated experience, that's alongside also not opening on time according to their time online and posted at the door. Shopping here is never preferred and maybe only emergency."
"Healthy food, real Shea butter, very nice staff and high quality spices"
"i love this place! they have great and friendly service not to mention its a family business. the owner Naaga is very helpful and sweet. i recommend the store to anyone from Africa looking for a taste of home ,or anyone wanting to explore other cultures and foods. Update: I've been going here for years, this place still rocks!"
