The Salt Republic

"We had breakfast at the Salt Republic, which is located within the Hyatt Regency SLC. What a beautiful restaurant, the breakfast buffet was great and so was the service. We had an excellent overall experience here."

"We had a seven pm reservation. It took 25 minutes for water, and 2.5 hours to get burgers and checks. Our waitress was nice but it didn't make up for the time it took and lack of attention. The restaurant was less than half seated. My roommate went here for breakfast the next day and there was mold on the bagels. Nothing was done about either situations. Just Can't recommend this place."

"I was in town for a conference staying at the hotel and it was too cold out so I decided to try this restaurant. I ended up ordering their Wagyu pastrami burger and I have to say it was excellent. Not only did it have two patties and also perfectly cooked pastrami there is also crispy onion rings. The combination of flavors was Excellent. The fries were also perfectly done and you can tell they were fresh. The front staff and waitress were very friendly and prompt in their service, although the waitress didn’t check back on me after I received my food and also didn’t on her own get me a refill on my water. The reason that the restaurant did not get five stars is because $23 for a burger is too expensive, although the burger and serving size won’t disappoint."

"Nice atmosphere. Prices are on the higher end. Not as pricey as say Ruth Chris but expect to pay a little more. Seated quickly, service was good. Wouldn’t say exceptional but good. When making the reservation they asked if it was a special occasion. But never acknowledged the occasion whereas other places we have been to have which is why they ask if it is a Special occasion. Located in the lobby of the new Hyatt. I don’t know if they validate parking. We were downtown to go to keys on Main and made a dinner reservation to eat before going out for drinks"

"The Salt Republic was very cute. It’s on the first floor of the Hyatt Regency. Menu had vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Service was extremely nice. Food was excellent."
