The Habit Burger Grill

"Relatively new establishment here in Saratoga. Enjoyed our visit, but did have a couple of snags while ordering. Prices are a little steep, but that seems to be the norm these days. Santa Barbara Char: love the sourdough bread (although it will tear up the roof of your mouth), caramelized onions and avocado were tasty. Double patties were fresh, and the was plenty of cheese. Added some A-1 steak sauce from the sauce bar for an extra punch of flavor. 8/10 Grilled chicken sandwich on sourdough: tasted good, but maybe a little too much "char" flavor. Not quite enough chicken if you ask me. 6/10 Sweet potato fries: disappointing. The flavor was good, but they were luke warm and lacked salt. 5/10 Fry sauce: nicely flavored fry sauce here. Had a bit of pickle for a slightly vinegary flavor, which I like. 9/10"

"Very nice employees. They worked hard to get our order out in a timely manner on a Saturday night. The food was put together well and had a nice presentation. It wasn’t just thrown into a container. The flavors were great as well!"

"The customer service at the drive thru window was horrible. Worker was very grumpy. And not helpful at answering my questions about if the price was correct. I was being charged a lower amount than what was on the screen. My burger was also RAW. Not even warm in the center."

"We came not knowing it was almost closing time (it was not yet closing time though), but the girl at the register pressured us to not dine in. The condiment bar was already put away too. When they began cooking my burger it looked like the guy at the grill pulled my patties off of a stack of old already cooked burgers left over on the side of the grill and my fries had clearly been sitting a while or had been reheated and were so overdone I couldn’t even eat them. I get that we were at the end of the day, but when you pay $30+ dollars for a burger, salad, and some fries, I feel like you deserve better than dollar menu McDonalds quality and experience. On the positive side, my wife loved her salad and her sweet potato fries were made fresh. Even though we didn’t stay and dine, while we were waiting another girl came out and was much more gracious about us staying to eat if we wanted (might have been the manager?). Overall though, at the price point, it’s hard to want to come back with an experience like this."

"I love habit so I was very disappointed with our food. Both of our burgers were a very dark pink in the middle, which I don’t understand how that’s possible given how thin the patties are. Fries also came out stone cold, we asked for new ones and they obliged. Just overall bad food experience."
