Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant

"Went to Buca last night with a group of 24 people. There were several prom groups and of course their regular customers. We were seated within 10 minutes of getting there AND, we had no reservations. Staff did a great job of accommodating our group last minute with all of the chaos going on. The chef Edgar was awesome. He even came out after our meal to see how everything was. Amazing service and fresh hot food! I highly recommend this location!"

"Our time here started out a little rough. Long waits (2+ hours when we were told it was 30min) and then sat at the table for 30+ minutes before someone came by to give us water let alone take our order. I guess the waiter that had our section was having a bad day…??? Billy stepped up and saved the day for us and the waiter we were supposed to have. Billy was absolutely amazing. He loves his job, loves interacting with the customers and is honestly the best waiter on this side of the Mississippi River. He is a hard worker and does everything in his power to not only make things right, but to make sure you enjoy your time here and put a smile on your face. If you ever come, ask to have Billy as your waiter and you’ll be sat in his section. Trust me you will not regret having him serve you. Food was good but Billy made it better."

"I hate to give this rating, as Buca di Beppo is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. I’ve eaten at them all over the country. I regularly eat at the one in Chandler, Arizona Unfortunately, I have never had issues at one of these restaurants like I had at Buca di Beppo in Salt Lake City. First, it took forever to get drinks. From order to drink delivery was over 15 minutes. Every time. Second, we ordered the chicken lemon, and it came out hard as a rock. The chicken was so overcooked it was about 1/3 of the normal size. Since I eat this meal regularly, I know exactly how it all cats should look and that was not it. The only saving grace was that the waitress did her best to try make up for it, as did the manager. Having worked in the restaurant industry for almost 20 years, I understand that things happen, people have off days, and that mistakes sometimes are made that normally are not. That was why they got the points for atmosphere and service. Hopefully, they will do better next time. They have invited me back, though I don’t know when I will be in Salt Lake City."

"We're in Utah for a vacation and came across Buca. We haven't been in over a year and decided to enjoy some pasta. It wasn't busy, there were a few couples in our area, so it was relatively quiet. Our server James was very personable, funny, and attentive. The food did not disappoint. We shared spaghetti, bruschetta, and garlic cheese bread. For drinks, we enjoyed the bramble lemonade and long island ice tea. We ended dinner with a brownie sundae. We left the restaurant, happy, fat, and satisfied. Yes, it's pricey, but it was worth it."
