"Without even calling me or sending an email first, they added a driver to my policy which increased my premium by over $600. The driver they added was a member of my family, but he has never used my car, and he doesn't even live at my address. I did not request him to be added. Despite that, Allstate decided to add him to my auto policy and charge me an extra $70 a month for it. It was all done without my knowledge too, I had to find out when my account was charged too much."

"I can only speak of my own experience of course and that began in the early 90's when I joined the Air Force. After moving out to my first duty base in Colorado this Allstate office called me to inform me that they were going to drop my liability insurance coverage in 2 days. Please note that at that point I had never had any accidents or even a traffic citation on my record which was spotless. The reason? I had joined the military. Yep, that was it. So keep in mind the early 90's did not have internet widely available and I had a shift to pull in the daytime so 2 days may as well have been 2 minutes to go and look for a new insurance company in a city I had never lived in before. So I found myself labeled as "uninsured motorist" and became food for the insurance sharks who charged me 500% the going rate. I had to take a second job working for the Base Exchange (a military bargain store on base) on Lowry AFB for over 6 months until I was allowed to move on to the coveted "prior insured" status. For 6 months I only got 2 to 4 hours sleep a day and life for me was rough all thanks to this insurance company dropping me for no reason whatsoever and giving me little notice so that I would be marooned in a city that I hardly knew. So if you are considering joining the armed services first let me thank you for your courage and second please consider only patronizing businesses that are friendly to members of the armed services."

"My office visit was a great experience. We reviewed all my policies, made a few changes and got some questions answered. I was very impressed with the customer service and how individuals worked as a team to help me out. As a side note, there had been a recent tornado that touched down near our home. Thankfully, we incurred no damage. However, I was extremely impressed that I got a phone call from Libby as she checked in on us to make sure all was well. Who does that any more?
