The Pines Restaurant

"This was one of a few places in Malad, Idaho to grab a bite to eat that wasn't fast food. It is smaller than I expected. I was there during the lunch hour and it was full. The food was good but nothing special. I ordered the BLT and handcut fries ($1 more). If you love fry sauce they'll leave a bottle at the table for your indulgence. The service wasn't great, not sure if that was due to the lunch hour. I wasn't offered silverware and was asked if I wanted napkins more as an afterthought and seemed like it was a bother when I said yes. The food is diner fare, all drinks are non-alcoholic. Not a deal breaker but for those traveling through wanting a cold beer and a burger, this is not that place."

"3/23/24 Was sat at 11:22 our server missed seeing us at our table until 11:37 which is when we were finally asked for a drink order at which we placed our entire order. Another pair of guys arrived a couple minutes before we saw her and they were asked for their drink order as they sat down. Our server was definitely off and spacey all through the entire experience. The food wasn't bad and the menu had plenty of options. I would try it again but not with the same server."

"Visited on our way through town on a VERY busy Friday night. The place was packed! Servers were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food took awhile to come out (which is completely understandable) but everything was fresh and delicious. The dragon burger was amazing. Teriyaki veggie plate was also fabulous. My finicky 6 year old ate every bite of her chicken strip meal. Great family friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend!"

"Lovely spot. Easy to get off Route 15, relaxing atmosphere. We had some great yummy food. The menu is huge! We had the chicken bowls( sauces were different) and a very delicious mushroom cream. The waitress was very nice."

"We LOVED eating at The Pines Restaurant! Our server was fantastic! I wish I could remember her name. We had the BLT. Honestly the best sandwich I’ve ever had! The bacon was so thick and yummy! Will definitely go back when traveling past."
