"My mother and I stayed at this wonderful Motel and after leaving realized when we were 3 hours in to our trip that she had left a very important 1 carat diamond necklace on the granite countertop of the bathroom sink area. This necklace had been given to her by her father whom had just passed away. The owner of the motel was called, immediately left his office and went to the room, found the necklace and agreed to mail it to our home address in Alabama. That kind of honesty is rare in today's time. My mother was so very grateful and overjoyed to receive her necklace returned to her in the mail. The room was so very accommodating, very comfortable and clean. Absolutely love this place and will be returning."

"Nice big rooms. Big flat screen TV. Great shower pressure. Bed was comfy. AC worked great! Internet was good. Motel was packed. Lots of work crews off for the night hanging outside. I was surprised how quiet it was inside my room. Kinda pricy for a motel tho. Almost $80 after tax. Didn't even have breakfast or an ice machine."

"Of all the places I've reviewed, this one is the easiest. The couple that own the Tanglewood Motel are kind, caring, and genuine. That's hard to say about most people in general. My husband is a Veteran with severe back issues and has a hard time sleeping a couple hours at a time. He slept a solid 12 hours in the comfortable bed in our room here. That in itself is enough to give a 5 star rating. The rooms are big, modernly designed, and CLEAN! The property is big, spread out, has a dog area, picnic tables, grills, fenced in, and CLEAN! Being that it is Frederick's only motel, the option to provide mediocre customer service could easily be taken on a "Take it or leave it" type of mentality. The Bhakta family not only opted out of this mentality, they took the high road in providing exceptional customer service. They are two of the kindest humans I've met. They are one of our main reasons for deciding to make Frederick our home. We genuinely appreciate the thoughtfulness of this family and highly recommend their business."

"I have been away from Frederick for a long time but stayed in the Tanglewood when i married my husband in 1995 and it is super compared now to then. Stayed in room 314 Comfortable king size bed airconditioner was great very nice micro and ice box. The flat screen tv was even great. Had a ironing board and iron a hairdryer. Only thing that was not great was bathroom was really small but everything was clean. Highly recommend as check in was easy affordable $65.00 a night and staff was great"

"We have stayed at the hotel twice for races this year. The proprietor is incredibly nice. They remembered us AND our room preference. The motel is older but it's very clean and well appointed. The restaurant across the street is open early for breakfast. I highly recommend!"
