"Nasty Place in General. Management is horrible. No collaboration whatsoever with the coaches. Refusal to discuss and quick to give red cards. This place is HORRIBLE. 1) The bathroom stinks 2) The new manager is really disgraceful toward my sons coach. I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone seeking to be a loyal customer. Tbh, there are many better facilities than this one fyi."
"We're part of a diverse, multi-racial kids' soccer team and have been going to this facility for 2 years. Recently, the manager insisted that our team remove a 12 year old kid from the U12 team because he was "too old" and he's younger than other players who were allowed to stay. When the coach, who has been working hard to instill good sportsmanship with the kids, asked for consistent rules and to have an amicable discussion after the game, they called the cops on him and banned him from the facility. The kids had to witness discrimination against their teammate and hostility toward their coach. We are not returning."
"I have observed many negative attitudes toward my son’s team after new manager started working.I am feeling “it is what it is” mood more than a collaboration. I do not know the reason. We had very good relations and friendships with the old manager Christian Rao who we miss a lot. I will not recommend this facility to my friends anymore."
"I am writing to express my concerns regarding the recent experiences my family and I have had at your venue. While the facilities themselves are impressive and the snack bar is commendable, my interactions with various teams have revealed a consistent issue with management. I have had the opportunity to speak with members from over seven teams, and the common theme seems to be dissatisfaction with how management treats them. Regrettably, this has led to a considerable number of team members leaving, affecting the overall atmosphere and functionality of the venue. One aspect that stands out is the need for a more skilled and friendly manager who possesses the ability to set boundaries, efficiently manage the venue, and handle tasks such as scheduling games, which is a fundamental part of the role. As a parent, consistency in scheduling is crucial for families with busy lives who still want to ensure their children have a positive and enjoyable experience. I have noticed a perceived disparity in how different teams are valued, with some feeling less appreciated than others. It is essential for the success of the venue and the well-being of its patrons that all teams receive fair and equal treatment. While I would have rated the venue higher in the past, my recent experiences lead me to give it a one-star rating. I believe this score accurately reflects the current state of affairs, particularly concerning management."
"My son has played here previously a few years ago, it seems to be much better ran now. The staff was friendly and helpful, when they got busy the front counter was fully staffed with at least 4 employees. The turf and arenas are in great shape, the turf looks like it is fairly new. Plenty of glass and nets to make spectating easy. The bleachers do not have chair backs, so something to be prepared for. Snacks and drinks at the concession stand are fairly priced, and they offer beer during adult league games. I really appreciate they do not offer beer during youth games, this doesn’t seem to be the practice at similar venues. The fields are great size for adults and teenagers. The goals are a little on the tall side for 9 & 10 year olds. ** It’s also very confusing that this is a “Let’s play Soccer” facility, yet it is named “Oklahoma City Sports Center”, making it harder to find on google maps or Waze if you don’t know exactly what you are looking for."
